If I Could Sing

If I could sing,

I would do it all the time

I'd sing about life

I'd sing about love

I'd sing about the rich,

and about the poor

I'd sing to make life better

I'd sing to bring smiles

I'd sing to make everything right

at least for a while

I'd try out for every play

I'd practice my little heart out

I'd go in there and sing

And prance right about

I'd sing for broadway

I'd sing to tell stories

I'd sing while danced,

And I'd sing for glory

And I'd sing,

and I'd sing,

and I'd sing,

And I'd tell everyone else they could too.

Because having everyone join in is the most fun thing

But alas,

I can not sing,

So we can only hope for the best

But for those of you who can

or who can't,

go ahead and sing,

and sing like you mean it,

Because we can all make the world a little better
