No Words Can Say...
Yesterday.
Yesterday was the best day ever.
I slept over at a friends, and had a great time goofing off.
For example I wore a ladder for an extensive amount of time.
Very fun, but really hard on the hips.
And then I go home,
kinda pissed off that I can't go to Bolton with my friends.
(Never been there. Yes I know it's lame for a Vermonter like me.)
And then a get a call.
A call from...
HANNAH!!!!!!!
Who I can no longer call tall thing because now she is actually tall.
Ah well.
So anyways,
the first part of our convo goes like this:
Me: hello?
H: Hi...Erica?"
Me: HANNAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then later I hop down the stairs screaming
"DAD DAD DAD!!!!!"
asking him if she can come over.
And she does!
I patiently await on the couch watching tv that I"m not even paying attention to
because I'm intently watching every car that drives by.
And finally she comes.
I waited until she got the door and I picked her up,
and swung her around until we both got dizzy and she almost got injured.
That's how it usually goes with me.
It was a natural high, I was so excited.
A perfect moment.
And we had a great time talking,
and going on missions,
and attempting to knock out my brother (haha=).
It was great.
Best day ever.
i hadn't seen her in MONTHS!
I was so happy.
Then I go over to Cobb's.
First I had to finish his Christmas gift...but eventually I got over there.
And we had a phenomenal time.
I totally failed guitar hero,
and lost at scene it.
Which I won't next time because I demand a rematch.
I can't believe I lost the first time,
I mean I lost by half the board because I kept getting the hard questions and 1's and he kept getting easy questions and 6's!!!
No Fair!!!!!
And plus I love that game. ;)
We watched Horton too (my xmas gift=)
and that was phenomenal.
Not just the movie,
being with Cobb.
We laughed and made jokes,
and sat together. It was amazing.
Then after,
it was almost time for me to go,
and I looked up at him,
and he looked right back at me,
and I couldn't help but feel I was the happiest person in the world.
So lucky.
So in love.
The love for him I felt right there was unexplainable.
The whole time I tried to find something to say,
something that would explain,
but nothing fit,
Except,
I love you.
And even after I still searched for a word to tell him how much I did,
but nothing came to mind.
It was a perfect moment.
We danced a bit (I LOVE to dance).
I haven't done that in so long.
It was the perfect end
to the perfect day.
And just to prove it,
As he walked me to my doorstep he pointed out how the stars were
so bright tonight.
A sign maybe?
I don't know.
All I know is that I went to bed with a fantastic feeling in me,
and a longing to do it all again.
So perfect.
I replayed it all again in my head...

Darn Drama Llamas!
A lot of people are freaking out.
About friendships, trusts, relationships, and all that kind of person to person stuff.
There's a lot of drama llamas going around.
And I can understand why people freak out,
I do sometimes too,
you psych yourself out and get sucked into the drama.
It happens.
But it's also not the end of the world.
As Olive-Yo's fridge magnet says...
"It will all be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."
Hey guys,
"We'll all float on all right"
Really,
we will.
So psych yourself out,
and then realize that you're psyching yourself out.
And that your friends are always there for you,
and you are living.
Always a plus right?
So don't get too worried about all the drama llamas,
life WILL go on!

I want to go where the music never stops. I want to go where nothing stands in my way from you. I want to go where the palm trees sway. I want to go where there are free cremes and pina coladas everyday. I want to go where we can walk down the beach hand in hand. I want to go where I can sleep and wake up like a lobster. I want to go where when I sleep, the slight breeze kisses my face, and the waves crash behind me. I want to go where it's just us. I want to go where we can laugh and goof around all day. I want to go where the sun hurts my eyes it's so bright. I want to go where the snow falls gently on my head, and gets caught on your eyelashes. I want to go where I can run and spin and then tumble in the snow with you. I want to go where the leaves dance around me, and the cold october air makes you hug me closer. I want to go where nothing is the same. I want to go where I can dance to samba music. I want to go where I can sit by a fire and sip the best hot coco ever. I want to go where we can all enjoy ourselves. I want to go where I can sing loudly to a song I don't even know. I want to go where I can stand on the sidewalk and sing to Billy Joel's "Piano Man." I want to go where I can fly. I want to go where nothing matters. I want to go to paradise, and I want to go where the music never stops.

But Where?
It's roaring down the tracks,
I can feel it in my feet,
it's coming.
The engine shrieks,
and the steam blows.
Everything is shaking,
as if an earthquake was coming.
But everything is calm
Nobody flinches,
nobody even batters and eyelash.
It's coming closer now,
I can feel it in my feet.
The engine screeches,
and the steam slows.
The wheels scream as they stop.
And all at once,
the world goes into a frightened panic.
Reaching,
grabbing,
dying to get on the screeching monster.
It seems everyone that was once calm,
is now rushing to one place or another.
But where?
Why so fast?
Where are they all going?

John Legend
John Legend is phenomenal.
We're the generation
We can't afford to wait
The future started yesterday and we're already late
We've been looking for a song to sing
Searched for a melody
Searched for someone to lead
We've been looking for the world to change
If you feel the same
Then go on and say
If you're out there
Sing along with me
If you're out there
I'm dying to believe that you're out there
Stand up and say it loud
If you're out there
Tomorrow's starting now
Now, now
No more broken promises
No more call to war
Unless it's love and peace that we're really fighting for
We can destroy hunger
We can conquer hate
Put down the arms and raise your voice
We're joining hands today
Oh I was looking for a song to sing
I searched for a leader
But the leader was me
We were looking for the world to change
We can be heroes
Just go on and say
If you're out there
Sing along with me
If you're out there
I'm dying to believe that you're out there
Stand up and say it loud
If you're out there
Tomorrow's starting now
Now, now
Oh now, now
If you're ready we can shake the world
Believe again
It starts within
We don't have to wait for destiny
We should be the change that we want to see
If you're out there
Ooooh
If you're out there
And you're ready now
Say it loud
Scream it out
If you're out there
Sing along with me
If you're out there
I'm dying to believe that you're out there
Stand up and say it loud
If you're out there
Tomorrow's starting now
If you're out there
If you're out there
If you're out there
If you hear this message, wherever you stand
I'm calling every woman, calling every man
We're the generation
We can't afford to wait
The future started yesterday and we're already late"
I just wanted to talk about how amazing this guy's voice is.
My mom and I love him,
and I just got her the new CD (we cheated and opened some gifts early)
OMG IT'S AWESOME!
His lyrics are great,
and he does a mix of styles,
which I love.
My mom even likes the hip hop stuff!
This guy is a musical genius,
and I'm obsessing right now.
So if your looking for something to listen to,
check this guy out.
IF YOU'RE OUT THERE

I LOVE YOU LOVE
[Verse 1:]
"(Oh) Hush my baby, Don't you cry.
I'll dry your eyes. Fulfill your heart's desire.
Let's go in. Try again.
Careful this time. Broken promises linger in our mind.
I'll give in completely. Hearts break so easy.
I know. Believe me. Oh, I've tried.
But my arms can hold you. My kiss console you.
I'll come and love you tonight.
[Chorus:]
And I...
I love, I love, I love
Love hurts sometimes
But this feels right."
"(Oh) Hush my baby, Don't you cry.
I'll dry your eyes. Fulfill your heart's desire.
Let's go in. Try again.
Careful this time. Broken promises linger in our mind.
I'll give in completely. Hearts break so easy.

But my arms can hold you. My kiss console you.

[Chorus:]
And I...
I love, I love, I love
Love hurts sometimes
But this feels right."
TAKE ME AWAY
"We danced and sang, somewhere in between heaven and hell
Gabrielle, that was her name
Everyone was smiling, even through their tears, under her spell
But in Gabrielle's eyes - nothing (?)
I asked: Do you not like the music?
She said: It's alright
But she dances to her own side
So she saýs:
Take me away from here
Take me somewhere, where love is like breathing
I don't care where we go as long as I'm there with you, baby
Long as I'm there with you"
Gabrielle, that was her name
Everyone was smiling, even through their tears, under her spell
But in Gabrielle's eyes - nothing (?)
I asked: Do you not like the music?
She said: It's alright
But she dances to her own side
So she saýs:
Take me away from here
Take me somewhere, where love is like breathing
I don't care where we go as long as I'm there with you, baby
Long as I'm there with you"
These are some of the lyrics from his new CD but I love his older ones just as much too.
Especially
"Where Did My Baby Go" and
"Save Room"

The General
There was a decorated General with a heart of gold
That likened him to all the stories he told
Of past battles won and lost and legends of old
A seasoned veteran in his own time
On the battlefield he gained respectable fame
With many metals of bravery and stripes to his name
He grew a beard as soon as he could to cover the scars on his face
And always urged his men on
But on the eve of great battle with the infantry in dream
The old general tossed in his sleep and wrestled with its meaning
He awoke from the night just to tell what he had seen
And walked slowly out of his tent
All the men held tall with their chests in the air
With the courage in their blood and a fire in their stare
And it was a gray morning and they all wondered how they would fare
Till the old general told them to go home
He said,
I have seen the others and I have discovered that this fight is not worth fighting
And I've have seen their mothers and I will no other to follow me where I'm going
So, take your shower, shine your shoes
You got no time to lose
You are young men you must be living
Take your shower, shine your shoes
Well, you got no time to lose
You are young men you must be living
Go now you are forgiven
But the men stood fast with their guns on their shoulders
Not knowing what to do with the contradicting orders
The general said he would do his own duty
But he would extend it no further
The men could go as they pleased
But not a man moved their eyes gazed straight ahead
Till one by one they stepped back and not a word was said
And the old general was left with his own words echoing in his head
He then prepared to fight
He said,
I have seen the others and I have discovered that this fight is not worth fighting
And I've have seen their mothers and I will no other to follow me where I'm going
So, take your shower, shine your shoes
You got no time to lose
You are young men you must be living

The Mailman Strikes Again
I'm like the mail person,
No rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor any other precipitation will keep me from anything.
And right now what I'm trekking through the snow for,
is you.
I long to hear your voice again,
singing to me,
for me.
A beautiful sound
that I dearly need at the moment.
A sound that makes me smile,
that makes me so happy inside.
I long to breathe in your scent once more,
to lie with you,
and rest there.
Whenever I'm near you,
I am reminded of so many memories,
of you.
Your scent brings me back,
back to where I want to be.
I want to make you laugh again,
because I feel so accomplished when I do.
Like getting an A on a paper,
I love to hear you laugh.
I long to kiss your lips again,
for when I do,
I am always reminded I'm loved.
I long to play in the snow again,
to play scene it,
and kick your butt,
because it may be the only thing I can beat you at.
And we always have a blast.
I long to bake in your kitchen again,
to flirt with you while you mix cupcake batter.
Then,
while I give it a try,
I get so distracted and discombobulated,
I splatter it,
every which way.
I long to do all of the other things we do,
All I want right now,
is to be with you baby,
just you.
And instead of mail,
I'd deliver my love,
directly,
from me.

What Is Love?
What is Love?
("Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more"... sorry couldn't resist. It's Griffin's most pimpin' song)
Can you define love?
Can you?
Isn't it different for every person?
Does it just happen?
Or is it slowly over time?
Both?
I think you love depending on the person you are.
There's someone for everyone, and
"There is always a person in this world who will find you hot"
-Ms. Fary
And I totally agree.
It's affection and caring,
passion,
and happiness
and those things are defined by each individual person,
So it depends entirely on you.
So what is love for you?
That would be the better question.

Needing
So the subject of needing has come up,
and I've decided there are two kinds of needing:
Sometimes when somebody needs something,
they actually need it,
like life will not go on if they do not have it.
Take oxygen for example,
if you do not have oxygen,
you will die.
Then there is the type of needing,
where you won't die if you don't have it,
but you might come close.
Or you may not,
depends on how bad you need it.
Like a person.
Someone asked me if we really "needed" someone.
No,
we probably don't.
At least not the type of needing from above.
A different kind.
A kind of need where we want really badly.
And we feel we have to have it,
to make life go on.
But really it's a hyperbole,
and we will not die if we don't have it.
Like people.
Unless someone's threatening your life
unless you find someone,
then you might die.
But if this situation comes up,
then call the police,
because it is not a healthy one to be in.

If I Could Sing
If I could sing,
I would do it all the time
I'd sing about life
I'd sing about love
I'd sing about the rich,
and about the poor
I'd sing to make life better
I'd sing to bring smiles
I'd sing to make everything right
at least for a while
I'd try out for every play
I'd practice my little heart out
I'd go in there and sing
And prance right about
I'd sing for broadway
I'd sing to tell stories
I'd sing while danced,
And I'd sing for glory
And I'd sing,
and I'd sing,
and I'd sing,
And I'd tell everyone else they could too.
Because having everyone join in is the most fun thing
But alas,
I can not sing,
So we can only hope for the best
But for those of you who can
or who can't,
go ahead and sing,
and sing like you mean it,
Because we can all make the world a little better
If we would all just,
Sing

Bring Me Back Again
You say you need to be caught
You say you need help
You say you need something to hold onto
Well, I am here.
Always have been
I don’t want you to hide behind another you for me
I don’t want you to hide your feelings from me
I don’t want you to hold back
I want everything to be right for you and me
I want to have fun
I want to be able to forget for a while
I want to be able to talk about whatever
Maybe when we both need it
I want to be there for you
I want to be your best friend
And I want to be everything for you
forever
So I am here to stop you from falling
So I am here to catch you
I am here to help
I’m here for you not to only hold onto,
But to totally lean and depend on when you need me
So lean,
Depend,
I'm sturdy
And I'm yours
Today I kicked a ball around,
all by myself.
It may sound sad,
but I was just fine with it.
You know why?
Because I knew two of my friends were trying to work out their problems,
and needed their space.
And I was remembering good times from last year,
and realizing that I have two kinds of friends.
Some that like to be girly a lot,
and some that like to horse around and be goofy.
Which,
I don't know why,
but I found pleasure in.
I didn't need anyone to come over and join me,
as soon as I would head in I would meet up with someone.
So I was pretty content,
acting like a dinosaur,
then hurting my ankle
and then kicking a ball around,
just,
thinking,
about nothing!
It was great.
I needed one of those.
