No Longer Good-bye

Good-bye,

is such a harsh word.

No matter how or when you say it.

It's never very positive.

And,

to me,

it always seems that when we say good-bye,

it is a sad thing.

It is why I never say good-bye to my pets.

It makes them sound as if they are about to croak.

And so,

it goes. 

No longer good-bye,

But good day.

No longer good-bye,

but good night.

No longer good-bye,

but so long,
